Week 1 - 13th Jan - Animation Breakdown

Following the story from my previous animatic we came up with the following plan:

Beginning: (1 minute)

Building set:

           - Frame of exterior and interior sets> Emma

           - Developing sets > Both

           - Environment> forest type set> Both

Creating Character:

           - Create armature> Emma

           -  Model character> Katie

           - Clothing character> Both

Stop-motion Animation: > Emma

-       - Tracking shot through environment, stop at window

-       - Old man taking book from shelf

-       - Old man walk cycle> drag feet

-       - Old man sitting down in chair

-       - Man coughing

-       - Book falling

-       - Eyes shutting

     Spirit character animation: > Katie

-      -  Forms in front of man

-       - Looks around confused

-       - Lands on grounds

-       - Walk cycle to book

-       - Touches book> shock from it coming alive

Middle: (2 minutes- 30 seconds each section)

Memory book

            WW2> old style, black/white – faint colours> Both

            India> painterly, water mediums, ink

            USA> graphic like, comically

            England> collage type, mix of ALL!!  > Both

End: (30 seconds)

- Using same stop motion sets as beginning.

-       - Reunited with wife, hold hands> disappear in book together
